About
Agilar is a different kind of consulting company.

Founded on the belief that great results can be achieved for clients when good people are working on a project, Agilar has brought together smart, experienced consultants who share a common vision – high quality consulting at a fair price.

The impact this joint vision has on us as a consulting company is exemplified by our understanding of the two key concepts present in this mission statement – high quality and fairness.

High Quality

Our focus on high quality influences everything we do as a company. Agilar is comprised of experienced consultants who understand the only real effective sales pitch for a consulting company is actual results and word of mouth propaganda from satisfied clients. As such, we are not only very selective of the consultants who join us, but also selective of the projects we accept.

We have seen other consulting companies fall into the trap of focusing on growth and accepting too many projects. This leads to the staffing of less experienced consultants in critical project roles. Agilar values results and client satisfaction over growth, and as such avoids this trap.

Also, Agilar is setup as a horizontal organization, with self-managing teams capable of adapting to the requirements of a project. Since our staff is comprised entirely of experienced consultants, decisions are taken in a cooperative manner, which ensure a higher level of agility, responsiveness and ultimately quality.

Fairness

Agilar sees fairness as the road to sustainability. As such, the concept of a fair price for consulting has an impact both on the client-side and the consultant-side of the equation.

Regarding the client, Agilar believes that they should not have to pay for the large overhead many consulting companies have to sustain. Rather, they should pay only for the experienced and knowledgeable service that they require.

Likewise with our consultants, Agilar believes that a fair relationship is the only way to ensure a continued excellence in the services we provide. With this in mind, Agilar consultants keep the majority of the daily rate we bill our clients. This ensures three different outcomes:
  1. Highly qualified consultants are interested in working in such an environment as they believe in their capabilities and know they can earn more this way
  2. It is the consultant doing the actual work that is reaping the majority of the benefit of his/her labor, ensuring a greater commitment towards the project and the client
  3. Consultants are paid for the work they deliver, enabling them to select the projects they want to work on, which again generates a greater commitment from the consultant towards the project and the client
We understand that high quality and fairness can only be truly achieved in a consulting company where consultants have the ability to work with other knowledgeable consultants who also share their passion for results, integrity and social responsibility. Agilar is structured from an organizational and operational perspective that maximizes our ability to work in such an environment. That is what makes us a different kind of consulting company.
